PROPOSALS FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AT ANGEL MEADOW
Residential development at Angel Meadow
A planning application for residential development at Angel Meadow has been submitted to Manchester City Council.
This followed a pre-application public consultation on the proposals.
What are the proposals for Angel Meadow?
Proposals are being brought forward for a high-quality park-side residential development, which will be built on four different plots, all of which border Angel Meadow Park. The new buildings have been designed as a cohesive and integrated development, complementing each other and their surroundings.
The proposed residential scheme at Angel Meadow represents the next phase of development at NOMA.
Who is behind the proposals?
Far East Consortium International Limited (FEC) is developing the proposals for a landmark residential development next to Angel Meadow Park, Manchester.
FEC was selected as the development partner for the scheme in 2016. FEC is an international property developer, based in Hong Kong, who has already successfully developed projects in a number of countries, demonstrating their ability to develop, build and launch large-scale mixed-use developments.
The Co-op and Manchester Place, as landowners, opened the search for a development partner to deliver the Angel Meadow residential scheme in 2015. The ambition was to find a partner who shared their aspirations to create housing of the highest quality in this prestigious park-side location. The decision to appoint FEC was based on the quality of the initial design proposals, in addition to their track record of delivering successful schemes in some of the world’s most exciting destinations.
FEC has appointed a Manchester-based design team, led by 5plus Architects and HOW Planning, who have a wealth of experience in bringing forward developments in the city.
The scheme in a nutshell:
- 756 residential apartments.
- 4 ground floor commercial units.
- Extensive scheme of new public realm.
- New pedestrian links.
- 76 car parking spaces.
Extensive provision of cycle parking.
